I work at a ski shop in Maryland and we normally get someone who has bigger calves into
a higher volume boot. A Nordica Next 67 or 77 would be great for thick calves and a
Lange Mid-Max would work also. Just head to your local ski shop and try some on. There
are ways to get around the calf problems by raising the heel up with inserts but make
sure you find a boot that fits before changes are made.
Goodluck.
